Below is given a table showing average rates of exchange on twenty-five countries
in October 1969 with comparable figures for other months. Averages are based on
daily noon buying rates for cable transfers in New York City certified for customs
purposes by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York

Effective August 10, 1969, the French franc was devalued from 4.94 to 5.55
francs per U.S. dollar.
Effective October 26, 1969, the Deutsche mark was revalued from 4.00 to 3.66
marks per U.S. dollar.
