COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY

He 12

Commercial and industrial loans increased a net of $981
million at Weekly Reporting Large Commercial banks during the Week
ending September 20, 1978.
The principal net increases were $190 million in loans
for services and $146 million in loans for mining (including crude
petroleum and natural gas).
The largest offsetting decrease was $108 million in
loans for food, liquor, and tobacco.
