COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY
Commercial and industrial loans increased a net of $974 million at
weekly reporting large commercial banks during the week ended September 16.
The principal net increases were $87 million in loans to manufacturers
of transportation equipment, $80 million to manufacturers of "other" fabricated
metal products, $93 million to manufacturers of "other" nondurable goods, and
$179 million to unclassified borrowers.
