COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING

H.12

BY

INDUSTRY

Commercial and industrial loans increased a net of $273 million at weekly
reporting large commercial banks during the week ended September 11, 1974.
The principal net increases were $90 million in all other loans and in
loans to manufacturers of machinery, $84 million in loans for other durable goods
and $56 million in total unclassified loans.
The largest offsetting decrease was $120 million in loans for retail trade.
