H.12 For Immediate r e l e a s e October 21, 1964 COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY Commercial and i n d u s t r i a l loans increased i n most d i s t r i c t s and a net of $213 million a t weekly r e p o r t i n g member banks during the week ended October 14. The p r i n c i p a l net increases were $6l m i l l i o n i n loans t o manufacturers of food, l i q u o r , and tobacco products, $45 m i l l i o n t o commodity d e a l e r s , $38 m i l l i o n t o the construction i n d u s t r y , and $28 m i l l i o n t o the wholesale t r a d e .
