INDUSTRY

Commercial and Industrial loans Increased a net of $98 million at weekly
reporting large commercial banks during the week ended October 3.
The principal net Increases were $127 million in loans for bankers acceptances, $62 million in loans for retail trade and $ d o million In loans to manufacturers of other fabricated metal products.
The largest offsetting net decrease was $118 million In loans to manufacturers of food, liquor and tobacco.
