LOANS OUTSTANDING

INDUSTRY

November 6, 1974

Commercial and industrial loans increased a net of $177 million
at weekly reporting large commercial banks during the week ended October
30, 1974.
The principal net increases were $153 million in loads to commodity
dealers, $133 million in loans for retail trade and $72 million in loans to
services.
The offsetting decrease was $100 million in loans to manufacturers
of textiles, apparel, and leather.
