FEDERAL O ? statistical RESERVE release For immediate release H. 12 November 6, 1968 COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY Commercial and industrial loans decreased a net of $110 million at weekly reporting large commercial banks during the week ended October 30. The principal net decreases were $85 million in loans to retail trade, $69 million to manufacturers of food, liquor, and tobacco products, and $169 million to "all other" types of business concerns. The largest offsetting net increase was $265 million in loans to unclassified borrowers.
