H.12 For immediate release November 25, 1970 COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY Commercial and industrial loans decreased a net of $215 million at weekly reporting large commercial banks during the week ended November 18. The principal net decreases were $73 million in loans to manufacturers of machinery, and $151 million to "other" public utilities. The larger offsetting net increases were $80 million in loans to manufacturers of food, liquor, and tobacco products, and $69 million in banker's acceptances.
