COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY
Commercial and industrial loans increased in all districts and a net of $368
million at weekly reporting large commercial banks during the week ended November 13.
The principal net increases were $88 million in loans to retail trade, $79
million to manufacturers of transportation equipment, $69 million to commodity dealers,
and $67 million to "other" wholesale trade.
The largest offsetting net decrease was $90 million in loans to unclassified
borrowers.
