CCMMERCIAL AMD INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDIBQ BT T m m r e y

CoBmercIal and Industrial loans Increased In eleven districts and a net of
v53o million at weekly reporting member banks during the -week ended November 3.
The principal net Increases were $1*9 million in loans to transportation,
communication, and other public utilities, # 1 8 million to retail trade, $59 million
to commodity dealers, $39 million to manufacturers of food, liquor, and tobacco
products, $30 million to manufacturers of machinery, and $127 million to unclassified
oorrovGrs*
Outstanding loans and changes from a week ago and a year ago are shown below;
cumulative changes since mid-year and during the comparable period last year are shown
in the last two columns.

month of October 1965, compared with an increase of $1,220 million during the month of
September 1965 and an increase of $71 million In October 1964.
