FEDERAL statistical miii * f^AL RESERVE release * H. 12 For immediate release May 3, 1967 COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY Commercial and industrial loans decreased a net of $93 million at weeklyreporting large commercial banks during the week ended April 26. The principal net decreases were $4l million in loans to "other" public utilities, $24 million to manufacturers of textiles, apparel, and leather products, $23 million to manufacturers of transportation equipment, $22 million to manufacturers of food, liquor, and tobacco products, and $20 million in bankers' acceptances. The largest offsetting net increase was $96 million in loans to manufacturers of machinery.
