COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY Commercial and industrial loans increased a net of $353 million at weekly reporting large commercial banks during the week ended May 12. The principal net increases were $74 million in loans to "other" wholesale dealers, and $165 million to foreign commercial and industrial loans. The larger offsetting net decreases were $76 million to retail trade, and $115 million to unclassified borrowers.
