INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY

INDUSTRY

For immediate release
March 29, 1972

Commercial and industrial loans increased a net of $34 million at weekly
reporting large commercial banks during the week ended March 22.
The principal net increases were $43 million in loans to other wholesale
trade, $37 million in loans to communication industry, and $116 million in unclassified loans.
The largest offsetting net decrease was $191 million in loans for bankers' acceptances.
