COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY

Commercial and i n d u s t r i a l loans decreased a net of $63 million at weeklyreporting large commercial banks during the week ended February 1.
The principal net decreases were $46 million in loans t o r e t a i l trade, $39
million t o manufacturers of machinery, $36 million t o services, and $33 million t o
manufacturers of "other" nondurable goods.
... The l a r g e s t o f f s e t t i n g net increases were $115 million in loans t o " a l l
other" types of business concerns, and $?4 million in bankers' acceptances.
