INDUSTRY

Commercial and industrial loans decreased a net of $167
million at Weekly Reporting Large Commerical banks during the week
ending December 13, 1978.
The principal net decreases were $117 million in loans
for retail trade and $64 million in loans for machinery.
The largest offsetting increase was $82 million in loans
for chemicals and rubber.
