COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY
Commercial and Industrial loans increased a net of $402
million at weekly reporting large commercial banks during the week
ending July 27, 1977,
The principal net increases were $127 million in loans
for retail trade, $86 million in loans for textiles, apparel, and
leather and $84 million for unclassified loans.
The largest offsetting decrease was $57 million in loans
for food, liquor and tobacco.
