COMMERCIAL AMD INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY
Commercial and Industrial loans decreased in eight districts and a net of
$72 million at weekly reporting large commercial banks during the veek ended July 27.
The principal net decreases vere $63 million in loans to manufacturers of
textiles, apparel, and leather products, $24 million to the mining industry, vhich
.includes producers of petroleum and natural gas, and $23 million to unclassified borrowers
The largest offsetting net increase was $52 million in loans to transportation,
communication, and other public utilities.
Outstanding loans and changes from a veek ago and a year ago are shown below;
.cumulative changes since mid-year and during the comparable period last year are shown
in the last two columns.
