COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY
Commercial and industrial loans increased a net of $846 million at weekly
reporting large commercial banks during the week ended August 18.
The principal net increases were $344 million in loans in Bankers' acceptances,
$186 million in foreign commerical and industrial loans, and $190 million to unclassified
borrowers.
