FEDERAL statistical U i RESERVE release For Immediate release April 22, 1964 H.12 COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY Commercial and industrial loans increased in all districts and a net of $288 million at weekly reporting member banks during the week ended April 15. The principal net increases were $96 million in loans to the retail trade, $44 million to the construction industry, $29 million each to manufacturers of machinery and to manufacturers of "other" nondurable goods, and $69 million to unclassified borrowers. dealers.
