Commercial and I n d u s t r i a l loans decreased i n e i g h t d i s t r i c t s and a n e t of
$257 m i l l i o n a t weekly r e p o r t i n g member "banks during t h e week ended A p r i l 7*
The l a r g e r n e t decreases were $80 m i l l i o n i n loans t o r e t a i l t r a d e , $69 m i l l i o n
' t o manufacturers of food, l i q u o r , and tobacco products, and $52 m i l l i o n t o commodity
'dealers.
fhCT l a r g e s t n e t i n c r e a s e was $21 m i l l i o n i n loans t o " a l l other* t y p e s
of b u s i n e s s concerns.
