ESTAII. FURNITURE REPORT FOR JANUARY 194b

Retail furniture store sales declined by about thd usual- seasonal
amount in January, reflecting the customarily large decreases in cash and
instalment sales, but yrere ob ut one-fifth above the velum-3 of last year.
Charre-aAcount sties declined 28 p?r cent from the previous mvnth, but were
