Appointment of Directors of this Bank
and its Buffalo Branch

Directors of this Bank

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System has reappointed R oswell

L. G ilpatric a class C director of this Bank for the three-year term beginning January 1,
1972, and has designated him Chairman of the Board and Federal Reserve Agent for
the year 1972. Mr. Gilpatric, who is a partner in the New York law firm of Cravath,
Swaine & Moore, has been serving as a class C director since January 1969 and as Deputy
Chairman during 1971. A s Chairman and Federal Reserve Agent, he succeeds
A lbert L. N ickerson , who has resigned as a class C director effective December 31,
1971. Mr. Nickerson served as a class B director of this Bank from August 1961 to the
end of 1966, and has served as a class C director and as Chairman and Federal Reserve
Agent since January 1969.
The Board o f Governors has appointed E l l i s o n L. H a z a r d a class C director o f this
Bank for the unexpired portion o f the term ending December 31, 1972, and has desig­
nated him Deputy Chairman for the year 1972. Mr. Hazard, who is Chairman o f the
Executive Committee o f Continental Can Company, Inc., New York, N. Y ., succeeds Mr.
Nickerson as a class C director and Mr. Gilpatric as Deputy Chairman.
Buffalo Branch directors

The Board o f Governors has reappointed N o r m a n F. B e a c h a director o f the B u f­
falo Branch o f this Bank for a three-year term beginning January 1, 1972. Mr. Beach,
who is V ice President o f Eastman Kodak Company, Rochester, N . Y ., has been serving
as a director o f the Branch since January 1968 and as Chairman o f the Branch Board
during 1971.
The Board of Directors of this Bank has appointed T heodore M. M cC lure a di­
rector of the Buffalo Branch for a three-year term beginning January 1, 1972.

McClure is President of The Citizens National Bank and Trust Company, Wellsville, N. Y . ;
on the Branch Board, he succeeds James I. W y c k o f f , Chairman of the Board, The N a­
tional Bank of Geneva, Geneva, N. Y ., who has been a director of the Branch since
January 1969.

The Board o f this Bank has designated M o r t o n A d a m s as Chairman o f the Branch
Board for the year 1972. Mr. Adams, who is General Manager o f Pro-Fac Cooperative,
Inc., Rochester, N. Y ., has been a Branch director since January 1970.
