C., has requested us to inform you of the follow in g: Persons, not resident in the Kingdom o f the Netherlands who claim beneficial ownership o f securities issued a n d /o r payable in the United States o f America, which were physically located in the Kingdom o f the Netherlands during enemy occupation and o f which they lost possession, are urged to file a report o f the loss o f such securities with the Office o f the Financial Counselor of the Netherlands Embassy, 25 Broadway, Room 1132, New Y ork 4, N. Y ., on or before January 31, 1947. There have been instances where reports o f the loss o f such securities have been filed with the issuing com pany or the paying agents in the United States, without notifying the Netherlands authorities. Lack o f inform ation in the Netherlands as to the loss of specific securities may lessen the chance o f discovering their present location or disposition. Forms fo r the reporting o f lost securities may be obtained from the Office o f the Financial Counselor o f the Netherlands Embassy, 25 Broadway, Room 1132, New Y ork 4, N. Y . They may not be obtained from a Federal Reserve Bank and should not be submitted to a Federal Reserve Bank. The form s must be executed in quadruplicate and must be sent to the Office of the Financial Counselor o f the Netherlands Embassy, 25 Broadway, Room 1132, New Y ork 4, N. Y . I f they are signed by a person other than the owner, the person signing should indicate the capacity in which he executes the statement. This announcement has no direct connection with Federal Reserve Bank of New York Circulars Nos. 3115 and 3142 dated August 15 and October 15, 1946, respectively, which were issued in connection with the declaration of Netherlands securities held in the United States.
