On Cash Offerings of 0.65 Percent Treasury Certificates of Indebtedness of Series C-1943
and
1% Percent Treasury Notes of Series C-1945

To all Banking Institutions, and Others Concerned,
in the Second Federal Reserve District:

In accordance with instructions received today from the Secretary of the
Treasury, the subscription books for the current offering of $1,500,000,000, or
thereabouts, of 0.65 percent Treasury Certificates of Indebtedness of Series C-1943,
dated September 21,1942, due May 1, 1943, and of $1,500,000,000, or thereabouts, of
114 percent Treasury Notes of Series C-1945, dated September 25,1942, due March
15, 1945, will close at the close of business Friday, September 11, 1942.
Subscriptions addressed to a Federal Reserve Bank or Branch and placed in the
mail before 12 o'clock midnight Friday, September 11, 1942, will be considered as
having been entered before the close of the subscription books.
