TO THE MEMBER BANKS OF DISTRICT NUMBER SEVEN:
On and after this date we will receive, under the
conditions stated in Bulletin No. 44, issued June 15, 1916, cheeks
on non member banks whose checks can be collected at par by any
Federal Reserve Bank.
The Federal Reserve Board has sent you direct from
Washington copy of pamphlet entitled
"FEDERAL RESERVE INTER DISTRICT COLLEUTION SYSTEM
BANKS UPON WHICH ITEMS WILL BE RECEIVED BY FEDERAL
RESERVE BANKS FOR CCLLEGTlON AND CREDIT - Effective
on and after August 15, 1916."
For your convenience we have prepared a special
"PAR LIST OF STATE MEMBER BANKS AND NON MEMBER BANKS IN
DISTRICT NUMBER SEVEN - Effective August 15, 1916 ,"
copy of which is herewith enclosed. In this list we have designated by prefixing an asterisk(*) the names of towns wherein
we can collect checks on all banks.
You are respectfully urged to avoid sending to this
bank checks on banks not included in the lists herein mentioned,
as such checks must necessarily be returned to your bank , thus
entailing delay in presentation.
