June 30,1933

FEDERAL RESERVE BOARD
WASHINGTON

UNITED STATES
GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE
W A SH IN G T O N : 1933

T h e MEMBER BANK CALL REPORT is pub
lished following each official call upon member banks
for statements of their condition. It contains tables
showing resources and liabilities and a classification
of loans, investments, deposits, and borrowings for all
member banks (National and State) in the country as
a whole, by Federal reserve districts and by classes of
banks.

Tables are also given, by States and cities,

showing resources and liabilities for all member banks.
All figures included in this report relating to the con
dition of national banks were furnished by the Comp
troller of the Currency.

The abstract of condition

reports of national banks issued by the comptroller
gives detailed statistical data regarding the condition
of national banks.

i Exclusive also of certified and cashiers’ or treasurers’ checks outstanding and of letters of credit and travelers’ checks sold for cash and
outstandmg^ed excegg Qf amounts due to banks over amounts due from banks as shown b y individual bank reports. W hen, for a given bank,
amounts due from banks exceed amounts due to banks, the excess due from cannot be deducted in determining deposits on which reserves are
com puted, and for this reason amounts in this column do not agree with the difference between aggregate amounts due to banks and due from
banks. In this calculation the amounts due to banks include due to Federal Reserve banks (deferred credits), due to other banks and trust com
panies (subject to immediate withdrawal), certified and cashiers’ or treasurers’ checks outstanding, and letters of credit and travelers checks sold
for cash and outstanding; while amounts due from banks include items with Federal Reserve banks m process of collection, amounts due from
banks and trust companies in United States (subject to immediate withdrawal), balances payable m dollars due from foreign branches of other
American banks (subject to immediate withdrawal), and exchanges for clearing house and other checks on local banks.
