To All Banking Institutions, and Others Concerned,
in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District:
There is enclosed a copy of Treasury Department Circular No. 674
which furnishes complete information with reference to the two new
issues of tax series Treasury notes. There is also enclosed a supply of
application forms.
Upon acceptance of full-paid applications, the notes will be delivered in
accordance with the provisions of paragraph 3 of section III of Treasury
Department Circular No. 674. The notes will be issued as of the date final
payment in available funds is received by this bank, and not on the date of
receipt of checks or other forms of remittance that are not immediately
available.
Any depositary qualified pursuant to the provisions of Treasury DepartĀ­
ment Circular No. 92 will be permitted to make payment by credit for notes
applied for on behalf of itself or its customers (subject to the terms and
conditions of Treasury Department Circular No. 674) up to any amount
for which it shall be qualified in excess of existing deposits.
Your cooperation in handling applications for these notes will be appreĀ­
ciated.
