ANTHONY DOLLARS TO ALL BANKS IN THE ELEVENTH FEDERAL RESERVE DISTRICT: A number of reports have been received that commercial banks in several parts of the nation have prem aturely released the Anthony dollar coin to the pu blic. The coin has been made available in advance to banks to provide preparation time, with the understanding, however, that the coin is not to be released to the public p rio r to the official release date of July 2, 1979. A ll banks are reminded that unauthorized issuance of these coins p rio r to July 2, 1979 may lead to prosecution under Federal law.
