FEDERAL RESERVE BANK OF D A LLA S Dallas, Texas, February 25, 1980. SUBJECT: Supply of all Classes and Denominations of New-size Currency now available. To all Incorporated Banks and Trust Companies in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: New series currency, including national bank notes, is now available to replace all denominations of the old series currency. It is to the advantage of all banks and the public generally to have the old series currency retired as quickly as possible in order that only one size of currency may be in circulation. In order to expedite the retirement of the old series currency we sugĀ gest that banks do not again put in circulation any old series currency but, regardless of its condition, send it in through the usual channels for deposit or exchange. Yours very truly, Governor. This publication was digitized and made available by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas' Historical Library (FedHistory@dal.frb.org)
