SPECIAL NOTICE

TO ALL BANKS IN THE
ELEVENTH FEDERAL RESERVE DISTRICT:
By order of the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana, dated May 29,
1975, William E. Simon, Secretary of the Treasury, and Francine Neff, Treasurer, and those
persons acting on their behalf or persuant to their authority, to include the various Federal Re
serve Banks, were enjoined from honoring, redeeming, or paying upon presentment the follow
ing Treasury bills:

Since there have been several attempts to redeem the Treasury bills which have beĀ­
come due, particularly in Texas, please give the Treasury bill numbers the widest possible
dissemination so that all persons responsible for handling Treasury bills will be put on notice
that these bills should not be honored.
If any attempts are made to redeem the Treasury bills listed above, please instruct
your employees to immediately contact the Federal Bureau of Investigation in your city and in
New Orleans, Louisiana, at (504) 522-4671 and the U.S. Attorney, New Orleans, at
(504) 589-2921.
