F ederal reserve Bank DALLAS, T E X A S of Dallas 75222 Circular No. 73-^2 February 27, 1973 To All Banks in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: The San Antonio Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is in the process of completing plans to establish a Regional Check Processing Center to begin operations on April 1, 1973* The Center will be known as the South Texas Regional Check Processing Center and will be operated on the premises of that bank. All Center participating banks, both member and nonmember, listed under Phase I of the attached list will be served initially. These banks will be allowed to deposit items drawn on other center banks in a separate cash letter up to 12:01 a.m. daily, Monday through Friday. As an example, deposits made on Monday night and up to the 12:01 a.m. closeoff on Tuesday morning will be credited on Tuesday. Under Phase II, the territory will be expanded to cover the remaining banks on the list, and service to these banks will be scheduled for May 1, 1973. In addition, all member banks located in the other three territories of the Eleventh Federal Reserve District will be permitted to deposit with the Center all items drawn on these banks by the cutoff hour mentioned above. Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Bulletin 13 governs Regional Check Processing Center operations in the Eleventh District. A sup plement to this bulletin containing an availability schedule covering the South Texas Regional Check Processing Center will be forwarded to your bank in the near future.
