SEVENTH WAR LOAN DRIVE
MARKETABLE ISSUES

To All Banking Institutions, and Others Concerned,
in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District:
There is quoted below the full text of the press statement which the Secretary
of the Treasury will release to newspapers on the morning of April 3, 1945, giving
the terms of the marketable securities to be offered in the Seventh War Loan Drive:
“Secretary Morgenthau announced today the terms of the four marketable secur­
ities to be sold in the Seventh War Loan Drive, starting on May 14. All of the secur­
ities will be dated June 1, 1945.
“The 21/2 percent bonds will mature June 15, 1972, and may be redeemed at the
option of the United States on and after June 15, 1967. They will be issued in cou­
pon and registered form at the option of the buyers, in denominations of $500 to
$ 1, 000, 000.
“The 2 % percent bonds will mature June 15, 1962, and may be redeemed at the
option of the United States on and after June 15, 1959. They will be issued in cou­
pon and registered form at the option of the buyers, in denominations of $500 to
$ 1, 000, 000.
“The IV2 percent bonds will mature December 15, 1950. They will be issued in
coupon and registered form at the option of the buyers, in denominations of $500 to
$ 1, 000, 000.
“The % percent certificates of indebtedness will mature June 1, 1946, and will
be issued in coupon form only, in denominations of $1,00.0 to $1,000,000.”
