To the Member Banks of the
Eleventh Federal Reserve District:
The election of directors to succeed J. M. West, deceased, Class B direcĀ­
tor, J. E. Woods, Class A director, and E. L. Kurth, Class B director, has
been held in accordance with the provisions of section 4 of the Federal
Reserve Act, as amended, and my circulars of October 10 and November
21, 1941.
The results of this election are as follows:
George A. Hill, Jr., President of the Houston Oil Company of Texas,
Houston, Texas, was elected by member banks in Group 1 as a Class B
director of this bank.
J. E. Woods, Chairman of the Board of the Farmers State Bank, TemĀ­
ple, Texas, and President of the Teague National Bank, Teague, Texas, was
reelected by the member banks in Group 2 as a Class A director of this
E. L. Kurth, Vice President and General Manager of the Angelina
County Lumber Company, Keltys, Texas, was reelected by the member
banks in Group 3 as a Class B director of this bank.
Mr. Hill was chosen for the unexpired term of J. M. West, deceased,
ending December 31, 1943. Messrs. Woods and Kurth were reelected for a
term of three years each, beginning January 1, 1942.
