federal reserve Ba n k of Da l l a s DALLAS, TEXAS 75222 December 21, 1966 REPORTING CHRISTMAS AND VACATION CLUB ACCOUNTS AND SIMILAR DEPOSITS ON REPORT OF DEPOSITS AND RELATED DATA To All Member Banks in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: Reference is made to my letter of December 13, 1966, regarding Amendments to Regulations D and Q revising the definition of “ Time Deposits” and “ Savings Deposits.” Savings deposits, Column 7, on the Report of Deposits and Related Data, Form AC-8 for reserve city banks and AC-62 for nonreserve city banks, should be expanded to include Christmas and vacation club accounts and similar deposits. Conversely, other time deposits, Column 8, should exclude Christmas and vacation club accounts and similar deposits. These requirements go into effect for the reserve computation period beginning January 5,1967. For the one day, January 5,1967, please report the amount of Christmas and vacation club accounts and similar deposits included in Column 7 and excluded from Column 8 as a footnote on the Report of Deposits and Related Data. Please note this revision on Page 4 of your copy of our Bulletin No. 4, Reserves of Member Banks. This change will be taken into account in the next revision of Bulletin No. 4.
