Fe d e r a l R e ser v e bank of Da lla s D A L L A S 13, T E X A S October 4, 1946 To the Bank Addressed: The Port City State Bank, Houston, Texas, a newly organized, par, nonmember bank located in the territory served by the Houston Branch, has notified us that it will open for business on October 4. We are informed that checks drawn on the new institution, when received for collection as cash items by the Federal Reserve Bank Branch of Houston, will be handled on an immediate credit basis under the terms of our current bulletin on Transit Operations. This addition will be reflected in our October, 1946 Federal Reserve Par List.
