Brown, Senior Advisor of the Auditing Department, will retire e f f e c t iv e Decem ber 31, 1982, after 33 years o f service. His service to the Bank began in 1949 in the Transit Department. He became a Junior Auditor in 1951, Senior Auditor in 1955, Audit Supervisor in 1957, and Assistant Cashier in 1966. In 1970, he was named Assistant General Auditor and General Auditor in 1971. We join with all his friends and associates in wishing him a very pleasant and rewarding retirem ent. It is a pleasure to announce that the Board o f Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has made the following changes in the o fficia l s ta ff of the Bank: Lyne Carter, Director o f Operations Analysis, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, e ffe c tiv e January 1, 1983. Robert L. Whitman, Senior Operations Analyst in the Board o f Governors' Division o f Federal Reserve Bank Operations, Washington, D.C. has been appointed Assistant Vice President, e ffe c tiv e shortly after the first of the year. The Board o f Directors at its meeting on Decem ber 9, 1982, reelected all of the officers of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and its Branches at El Paso, Houston, and San Antonio, Texas.
