federal Re se r v e B a n k o f Da l l a s F IS C A L A G E N T O F T H E U N IT E D S T A T E S DALLAS, TEXAS 75222 Circular No. 70-252 October 23, 1970 To All Banking Institutions and Others Concerned in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: There is quoted below a press statement issued by the Treasury Department in regard to current financing: NOTICE OF CLOSING HOUR FOR RECEIPT OF SUBSCRIPTIONS TO CURRENT TREASURY NOTE OFFERING The Treasury Department today called particular attenĀ tion to the time its books will be open for subscriptions in the current offering of Treasury Notes. In announcing the offering it stated: "Subscription books for the exchange offering will be open until 8 p.m., local time, Thursday, October 29, 1970. To be timely subscriptions must be received by a Federal Reserve Bank or Branch or by the Office of the Treasurer of the United States by such time, except that subscriptions addressed to a Federal Reserve Bank or Branch or to the Office of the Treasurer of the United States postmarked beĀ fore midnight Wednesday, October 28, 1970, will be deemed to be timely. Banks need submit by the closing hour only the total amount of customers subscriptions for each new issue provided that the usual detailed information for such subscriptions is furnished by Friday, October 30."
