Modifications to the March 1984 Uniform Bank Performance Report include: • an alternative income presentation showing gains or losses on the sale of investment securities as part of operating income • a new deposit presentation distinguishing between deposits with regulated interest rates and those with unregulated rates • the classification of interest expense on mortgages and leases as an interest expense instead of an overhead expense • more detailed information on noninterest income for banks having over $100 million in total assets • an analysis of off-balance sheet contingencies commitments and • an analysis of loan and lease losses, and information on rates of return by type of loan and lease for banks having over $25 million in total assets • the classification of lease financing receivables as loans for purposes of risk portfolio, loss and return analysis This publication was digitized and made available by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas' Historical Library (FedHistory@dal.frb.org) Banks and others are encouraged to use the follow ing in coming W A TS numbers in c ontacting this Bank: 1-800-442-7140 (intrastate) and 1-800-527-9200 (interstate).
