EMERGENCY BULLETINS

TO ALL BANKS IN THE
ELEVENTH FEDERAL RESERVE D IS T R IC T:
T h e re is enclosed a loose-leaf b in d e r entitled "Federal Reserve
Bank of Dallas Emergency B u lle tin s ." T h e b in d e r presents the basic
plans, a u th o rities, and procedures u n d e r which the Federal Reserve
Bank of Dallas, its Branches, and the d is tric t commercial banks would
operate in the event of a national em ergency.
It is recommended that the enclosed material be made available
to members of your staff, since knowledge of the operating capabilities of
the commercial banking system w ill be most important in the event of a
national em ergency. T h is w ill aid the staff members of commercial banks
in having a knowledge of the provisions that have been made for the con­
tin u ity of the banking system and the restrictions that w ill be placed on
the use of money and c re d it.
Emergency b u lle tin s , plan s, au th o rities, and b in d e rs , if p r e v i­
ously furnished yo u r b a n k , are now obsolete and should be destroyed.
