federal reserve bank of DALLAS, TEXAS Dallas 75222 Circular No. 71-25^ October 22, 1971 To All Member and Nonmember Banks in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: EISENHOWER DOLLARS Beginning on November 1, 19715 the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and its branches at El Paso, Houston, and San Antonio -will release Eisenhower cupro-nickel dollars to banks for general distribution. Steps have been taken to insure that all ordering banks will receive a portion of our initial supply. Orders for these coins by banks served by armored carrier should be submitted so that they may be included on the first delivery on or after November 1. Banks served by registered mail may order on or after this date. The mint plans to continue the production of these coins and additional supplies will be available at a later date.
