To the Member and Nonmember Clearing Banks
of the Eleventh Federal Reserve District:
Please refer to the time schedule which is part of our Bulletin No. 6,
dated September 15, 1939. On this schedule it is stated that if any Federal
Reserve bank or branch should adopt daylight saving time, the time shown
on the schedule would automatically be advanced one hour for the length
of time the daylight saving plan is observed by such Federal Reserve bank
or branch.
For your information, the Federal Reserve banks and branches in the
cities shown below will observe daylight saving time from April 24 to
September 25, 1949. During that period our time limit for the acceptance
of wire transfers to such Federal Reserve banks and branches, for compleĀ­
tion on date of receipt, will be one hour earlier than the time shown on
our schedule.

For your further information, we have been advised that the Portland
Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco will observe daylight
saving time from April 24 through September 11,1949, and that the Seattle
Branch of that bank will observe daylight saving time from June 1 through
September 30, 1949.
