SUBJECT
Consumer Advisory Council Meeting
SUMMARY
The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System has announced
that its Consumer Advisory Council will meet on March 20, beginning at 1:00
p.m., and on March 21, beginning at 9:00 a.m., in sessions open to the public,
in Terrace Room E of the Board's Martin Building. Time permitting, the
Council plans to discuss a variety of current issues including:
1.

Possible revisions to the Board's Regulation Q governing the
advertising rules of deposit accounts.

2. Tie-ins in the granting of consumer credit.
3. Delayed availability of funds.
4. Credit card interest rates.
5. Reduced-rate financing for automobile purchases.
6. Disclosures for adjustable rate mortgages.
7. Legislative outlook for 1986.
8.

Status of the Board's regulatory actions regarding consumer
financial services.
