S i m i l a r l y , the high average d e p o s i t s o f the n a t i o n a l banks i n the 80-89.9 percent and 9099.9 percent r a t i o c l a s s i f i c a t i o n s are caused by the large New York banks i n these c l a s s i f i c a t i o n s . In c o n t r a s t , however, t o the c o r r e l a t i o n o f large member banks with high demand r a t i o s , the member banks which had demand d e p o s i t s o n l y , were comparatively small banks.
