4. April Stafford for the U.S. Mint’s Office of Design Management, presented
candidate design for the obverse designs that were developed via a legislated
public design competition. After reviewing the 20 obverse designs the preference
of the stakeholders are BHF-O-01, BHF-O-02, BHF-O-09, BHF-O-10 and BHFO-19, with BHF-O-19 being the number one preference.
5. Eric Jansen, pointed out that we need to continue sending a message to those
developing legislation that one design for multiple planchets is not appropriate.
He recommends numerous artistic designs for projects that have multiple coin
denominations. It is further noted that there is a missed opportunity for this
program by not having a circulating coin.
6. Donald Scarinci asked for a final opinion from John Doleva regarding which
designs the NMBHoF would find most marketable. Mr. Doleva confirmed that
BHF-O-19 was the still most desirable choice of the stakeholders.
7. Greg Weinman presented vote results. BHF-O-19 received the highest amount of
votes with 26 of a possible 33 votes. And BHF-O-02 the second highest at 18 out
of a possible 33 votes.

8. April Stafford presented 23 reverse designs developed under the U.S. Mint’s
standard design process. The stakeholders had 4 preferences for reverse designs:
BHF-R-05, BHF-R-09, BHF-R-12A and BFH-R-17.
9. During discussion, April Stafford mentioned that this coin might be the first
United States coin highlighted with color. This planned implementation of
colorization would be subtle. It was also noted that the CFA did concur with the
planned subtle use of color for this coin.
10. Greg Weinman presented vote results. Reverse BHF-R-01 received the highest
amount 20 votes out of a possible 33 votes. Reverse BHF-R-17 received 17 out
of a possible 33 votes.

11. Greg Weinman said we could look at several pairings as recommendations. Eric
Jansen suggested; we look at changing the pairings even obverse and reverse
combinations. Discussion continued with Dennis Tucker suggesting that BHF-O02 (as the obverse) and BHF-O-19 (as the reverse) be the recommended design.
Motion was made to approve BHF-O-02 and BHF-O-19 be chosen as design for
the BHF commemorative coin.
Second was made by Eric Jansen
The motion did not pass.
12. A motion was made by Eric Jansen to include the committee voted designs of
