THURSDAY, June 21, 2007 STATE PERSONAL INCOME: FIRST QUARTER 2007 U.S. personal income grew 2.2 percent in the first quarter of 2007, up from 1.4 percent growth in the fourth quarter of 2006, according to estimates released today by the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. Growth was strongest in New York which grew 4.7 percent in the first quarter—more than twice as fast as the U.S. and almost three times as fast as the 1.7 percent New York grew in the fourth quarter of 2006.
