Real PCE 0.1% 0.2% 0.2% PCE prices increased 0.2 percent in August and July. Excluding food and energy, the PCE price index increased 0.1 percent in August. Wages and salaries, the largest component of personal income, increased 0.3 percent in August after a 0.4 percent increase in July. Real disposable personal income (DPI), income adjusted for inflation and taxes, increased 0.2 percent in August after decreasing 0.2 percent in July.
