During 1920, this department had a tremendous growth indicat ing the increased willingness of member banks througiout the country to use the federal leserve service. This part of a bank's servioe is rarely appreciated, but we have been assured that oar department is a superior * one* With the idea of further improvement, we are installing several EUiott-Fisher machines ifcioh will enable each operator to turn out an average of 200 collection letters per day* During December an average of 523 country collection letters were, sent and 398 city collections were handled daily* Shis is a (greater number than was handled in the federal Reserve Batiks of Cleveland or Chicago and was accomplished wife a smaller forceo 3 0 0 JE t A Q-g o?
