W e have been advised that the President has signed the
W ar Loan Deposit bill today.
Briefly, the bill provides th at balances in the W ar Loan
D eposit account shall be excluded from the base tor the F.D.I.C.
assessm ent, and that such balances will be excluded from the base
for determ ining reserve requirem ents of banks which are members
of the Federal Reserve System.
