TEXAS of Da lla s April 16, 1965 To the Bank Addressed: We are advised th at the Mercantile Bank of Houston, Houston, Texas, a newly organized, insured, nonmember bank located in the territory served by the Houston Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, will open for business on April 19, 1965. The bank has notified us th at remittance will be made at par for checks drawn on it when received from the Federal Reserve Bank. Checks drawn on the new bank will be received by our Houston Branch for collection on a country item basis and credit for such items will be deferred.
